Migoti is an exceptional Red Bourbon coffee from the high-altitude regions of Bujumbura, Burundi, grown at 1,700 to 1,900 meters. This elevation, combined with the region’s rich volcanic soil and temperate climate, creates the perfect conditions for producing complex and vibrant coffees.
The anaerobic processing method used at Migoti enhances the coffee’s sweetness and depth of flavor. After being carefully hand-picked, the cherries are fermented in a controlled oxygen-free environment, intensifying their juicy texture and rich, layered profile. The beans are then dried slowly to develop their full complexity and balance.
This unique processing method, combined with Burundi’s ideal terroir, results in a coffee that is both bold and refined, offering a truly memorable sensory experience.
Tasting Notes:
A balanced and juicy coffee with deep muscovado sugar sweetness, complemented by tart cranberry notes and a smooth, rum-like finish. Its bright acidity and velvety body create a rich and indulgent cup, making Migoti a standout in Burundi’s specialty coffee scene.
