CALMA is a decaf coffee with an innovative twist, redefining what it means to enjoy a caffeine-free brew. Grown in the Huila region of Colombia at 1,450–1,500 meters, this exceptional Caturra variety coffee is crafted by Brayan Alvear with a deep commitment to flavor, quality, and innovation.
What makes CALMA truly unique is its 120-hour anaerobic fermentation, where the cherries are infused with dehydrated passion fruit pulp, enhancing their fruity complexity and vibrant taste. The beans are then dried in mechanical silos and stabilized in GrainPro bags, ensuring a consistent and refined flavor profile.
To remove caffeine while preserving the coffee’s intricate characteristics, CALMA undergoes the EA Sugarcane Decaffeination Process, a natural method that gently extracts caffeine using ethyl acetate from Colombian sugarcane. This clean and efficient process ensures that the beans retain their rich, nuanced flavors, making it one of the most satisfying and flavorful decafs available.
A bold and complex decaf with warm brown spice and dark chocolate notes, balanced by the tropical sweetness of passion fruit and the bright acidity of tangerine and citrus. CALMA is the perfect choice for those who seek a decaf coffee without compromising on flavor, depth, or richness.
