Caramel, Milk chocolate, Red apple, Clove
High in the mountains of Huila, at 1800 meters above sea level, lies Finca Las Flores, a family-run farm that has become a shining example of Colombian coffee excellence. Founded in 1990 by the Vergara family with just 18,000 coffee trees, the farm has grown steadily over the years, reaching an impressive 90,000 trees by 2006. That same year marked their breakthrough in specialty coffee, when they entered the prestigious Cup of Excellence.
With the dedicated involvement of Jhoan Vergara, the family has refined their approach, focusing on precise cultivation and meticulous post-harvest processes to consistently produce outstanding microlots.
This washed Red Bourbon microlot is a testament to their expertise. Careful harvesting and processing bring out the variety’s elegant profile, resulting in a clean, vibrant cup that beautifully expresses the terroir of Huila.
Tasting Notes:
A refined and balanced cup, featuring bright acidity, silky sweetness, and a delicate complexity that highlights the Red Bourbon’s natural charm. Ideal for filter brewing, this coffee offers an authentic taste of Colombian craftsmanship.
