Brown Sugar, passion fruit, guava, peach
From Ethiopia’s high-altitude Guji region, Omoro offers a taste of the rich heritage and distinct flavors this unique coffee-growing area has to offer. Although a relatively recent addition to Ethiopia’s coffee landscape, Guji has quickly gained a reputation for exceptional quality, drawing on techniques and expertise from the celebrated Yirgacheffe region.
Guji's coffee is grown on smallholder farms, where local Oromo tribes carefully tend to young coffee plants that thrive in this mountainous environment at 2,200 meters above sea level.
At the Alemayehu Yerdaw station, Omoro’s natural processing brings out the coffee’s vibrant and fruity character. This GR.1 coffee boasts an SCA score of 88.5, reflecting its top-tier quality and the care that goes into its production.
Tasting Notes:
Warm sweetness of brown sugar, balanced by bright notes of passion fruit and guava. A gentle hint of peach rounds out the profile, adding a soft, fruity depth. The result is a well-balanced cup, blending rich sweetness with the lively flavors that are characteristic of Ethiopia’s finest coffees.
