Located in the mountainous Nueva Segovia region, Finca Santa Maria de Lourdes is a testament to exceptional coffee cultivation and sustainability. Nestled at 1550 meters above sea level, this single-origin coffee thrives in the region's humid climate, diverse vegetation, and nutrient-rich soils.
This Red Catuai varietal benefits from the farm's dedication to quality and environmental preservation. Owned by Octavio Peralta since 1970, the 40-hectare farm is Rainforest Alliance certified and renowned for its commitment to both conservation and exceptional coffee production.
The beans undergo a natural process with extended anaerobic fermentation, a meticulous method that enhances their unique flavor. After fermentation, the cherries are carefully dried on raised beds over 30 days, ensuring a clean and vibrant profile.
