Finca Pichanaqui, located in the Chanchamayo region of Peru, is cultivated by a small group of farmers dedicated to producing specialty coffee with environmental and social responsibility.
These farmers, associated with the C.A.C. Sostenible Valle Ubiriki, receive support in marketing their coffee under favorable terms and accessing international markets. Working together, they aim to improve their communities' living standards while practicing sustainable agriculture at altitudes of 1150 to 1650 meters. Their shade-grown coffee cultivation, with layers of native trees, promotes biodiversity and supports the local ecosystem, including various bird species.
This washed-process coffee, a blend of CatuaĆ, Catimor, and Costa Rica varietals, is smooth and sweet, offering a delightful drinking experience. With an SCA Cupping Score of 83, it boasts a milk chocolate base, with sweet notes of hazelnut, walnut, and a hint of flowers, balanced with a light body and low acidity.
