Dark chocolate, Caramel, Cherry, Cola
Caranavi, Western Bolivia - this washed coffee by Roger Guzman offers a beautifully structured and flavourful cup, grown at 1,550 meters in the fertile, mountainous terrain of Villa Rosario. A mix of Caturra and Catuai varietals, this lot showcases Roger’s commitment to precision, quality, and terroir expression.
Cherries are hand-harvested at peak ripeness and carefully processed using a washed method that begins with a controlled 48-hour fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by a thorough washing and an extended 110-hour mechanical drying phase. This meticulous method preserves the beans’ natural integrity, allowing the flavours to shine with clarity and depth.
Tasting Notes:
A bold yet clean cup, with rich notes of dark chocolate and smooth caramel, lifted by bright hints of cherry and cola. The result is a vibrant, balanced, and satisfying coffee that reflects both the altitude and the care behind its creation. Roger Guzman’s lot is a true testament to the craftsmanship and potential of Bolivian specialty coffee.
