Floral, jasmine, crystalized lemon
The extraordinary microclimate of Tanzania’s Acácia Hills mountains offers ideal conditions for coffee cultivation.
Originally formed from four smaller farms, Acácia Hills has been producing coffee for over 50 years and transformed into a specialty coffee estate in 2007 under the stewardship of Leon and Aideen Christianakis.
At approximately 1,800 meters above sea level—the highest altitude of any coffee farm in the region—Acácia Hills Estate nurtures a selection of unique varieties including Geisha variety reaching its full flavor potential in Tanzania’s unique climate.
The coffee is processed using a washed method that includes selective hand-picking, 12-18 hours of dry fermentation, and drying on raised beds under carefully controlled conditions. Recent experiments with shade netting have allowed the team to slow the drying process, further enhancing the complexity of flavors.
Tasting Notes: Floral and delicate jasmine tones, complemented by refreshing hints of crystallized lemon, create a clean and complex profile.
