Vibrant and Bright – Burundi coffee

Grown in Musenyi, Ngozi at 1,700 MASL, this coffee is produced by 1,168 smallholder farmers cultivating Bourbon varieties. In Burundi, most farms are under one hectare, with each farmer caring for 50 to 250 trees—allowing close attention to quality at every stage.

Cherries are selectively handpicked and processed using the washed method, enhancing clarity and structure in the cup. Careful fermentation, washing, and drying highlight the intrinsic character of Burundi’s high-altitude Bourbon.

Suitable for both espresso and filter, this coffee delivers a vibrant and bright profile with balanced sweetness.

Tasting Notes: Nutty undertones, chocolate richness, and a subtle sweetness reminiscent of pumpkin jam.
