Colombia Decaffeinated Huila is a single-origin specialty coffee that proves great flavour doesnāt need caffeine. Sourced from high-altitude farms in southern Huila, primarily around Pitalito, this coffee is produced by small-scale growers and selected from fresh harvest lots to ensure clarity, sweetness, and balance.
The coffee is decaffeinated using the Sugar Cane (Ethyl Acetate) process at Descafecol in Colombia. This method combines mountain spring water with naturally occurring EA derived from sugar cane, avoiding synthetic chemicals and harsh processing. The result is a gentle caffeine removal that preserves the beanās natural structure and flavour profile, making it one of the most ethical and flavour-forward decaf methods available.
Fully washed before decaffeination and grown between 1500 and 1900 masl, this 100% Arabica lot (Castillo and Colombia varieties) delivers a smooth, comforting cup. Expect classic coffee character with chocolatey and nutty notes, balanced sweetness, and a creamy mouthfeel decaf that easily satisfies even traditional caffeine drinkers.
