Ethiopia Decaf CO₂ is a refined single-origin decaffeinated coffee that preserves the clarity and character Ethiopia is known for. Sourced from high-altitude regions in Ethiopia and grown between 1550 and 2200 metres above sea level, this coffee is made up of traditional Heirloom varieties, delivering brightness, aromatics, and elegance — without caffeine.
This coffee is naturally decaffeinated using a CO₂ and water process, one of the cleanest and most precise methods available. Green coffee beans are gently expanded using water, then exposed to carbon dioxide under carefully controlled temperature and pressure. The CO₂ acts as a selective solvent, removing caffeine while leaving the coffee’s delicate flavour compounds intact. As CO₂ is a naturally occurring substance, the result is a pure, flavour-forward decaf with no chemical residue.
In the cup, this Ethiopian decaf is lively and expressive, offering fresh lemon acidity and floral aromatics, balanced by subtle sweetness reminiscent of brown sugar and grape. Clean, vibrant, and well-structured, it proves that decaffeinated coffee can still deliver complexity and origin character.
