Chocolatey and Sweet – Papua New Guinea Coffee
This Papua New Guinea coffee is grown between 1,400–2,000 MASL in the Waghi Valley, Banz District of Jiwaka Province — a region known for producing expressive highland coffees.
Full Traceability – Kenneth Manzip Plantation
This lot is fully traceable to the plantation of Kenneth Manzip, who manages a 200-hectare farm in the Waghi Valley. Kenneth oversees every stage of production, from tree maintenance and cultivation to harvesting and processing, ensuring consistent quality across the farm.
Only fully ripe cherries are handpicked by experienced workers before being processed using the washed method, creating a clean and balanced cup. Coffee from nearby farmers processed at Kenneth’s mill is also carefully selected and held to the same ripeness and quality standards.
The farm cultivates Arusha, Blue Mountain, and Bourbon varieties, grown at high altitude, where cooler temperatures allow slower cherry maturation and greater flavour development.
With an SCA score of 86.5, this coffee offers a sweet and balanced profile suitable for both espresso and filter brewing.
Tasting Notes: Cocoa, honey, light stone fruit, red fruits, and subtle spice, with medium-to-high acidity and a full, rounded body.
