This Colombia decaf coffee is grown at 1,450 MASL on El Vergel Estate in Fresno, Tolima. Produced by ElÃas and Shady Bayter, the farm is known for its innovative approach to coffee processing and for redefining the potential of high-quality decaffeinated coffee.
Made from Red and Yellow Caturra varieties, the cherries undergo 48–60 hours of anaerobic fermentation before drying on raised beds and in low-temperature mechanical dryers. The coffee is then gently decaffeinated using the natural Sugarcane EA method, derived from Colombian sugarcane, which removes caffeine while preserving the coffee’s full flavour and sweetness.
The result is a vibrant and expressive decaf that maintains complexity and clarity in the cup, suitable for both espresso and filter.
Tasting Notes: Milk chocolate, tropical fruits, strawberry, honey, coconut, orange, and passion fruit, with soft citric acidity and a smooth body.
