Red Grape, caramel, cherry, lemon
At 1,450 meters in Costa Rica’s Brunca region sits Finca El Salitre, a farm run by the Alvarado Abarca family. Since 2015, their Corazon de Jesus micromill has been a labor of love, crafting exceptional coffee with a commitment to quality and sustainability.
This 100% Catuai coffee is harvested with precision, with ripe cherries handpicked and delivered to the micromill. The cherries are naturally processed, laid to dry on raised beds for 10 to 20 days, and frequently raked for even drying. Once dried, the cherries rest for two months before being milled and prepared for export. This meticulous process highlights the coffee’s vibrant and complex flavors.
With an SCA Cupping Score of 87.5, this coffee boasts a bright and fruity profile that reflects the dedication of the Alvarado family to excellence.
Tasting Notes: Red grape, caramel, cherry, and lemon. This coffee offers a lively, well-rounded flavor with a smooth body and a harmonious mix of fruity and sweet notes.
