Balanced, Stone Fruit, Brown Sugar
In the volcanic highlands of San Marcos, Guatemala, Tres Gigantes represents a collective of twenty small producers cultivating exceptional coffee at elevations ranging from 1,300 to 1,800 meters. This washed coffee features traditional varietals such as Caturra and Bourbon, grown under the shade of native oaks and interspersed with lush vegetation.
Thanks to the region's unique mix of cloud forests, coastal breezes, and high-altitude climate, the cherries develop slowly, enhancing sweetness and complexity. After careful handpicking, the coffee undergoes a fermentation process of over 28 hours, followed by slow drying on raised beds, which helps preserve its clean and balanced profile.
Tasting Notes:
Expect a well-balanced cup with notes of stone fruit and muscovado sugar, complemented by a silky body and a lingering sweetness—an elegant expression of Guatemala’s San Marcos terroir.
